I am not sure about the 411JDJ,I believe it is a 444 Marlin necked down to 41 cal.

I do have a 358JDJ,which is a 444Marlin necked down to 358 cal. Very simple to form. basicly run a lubed 444 marlin case into the 358JDJ size die, load and shoot.

Dies are the expensive part, about $85.00 from JD.

Yes, the 411 is a 41x444. Not much to neck down. Should run a 210 grainer in the 2300-2400 fps range....

REe: .338 JDJ---I love this one ---it is overlooked in favor of .358 &.375JDJ----has the trajectory of .308 and long bullets for weight so better IMHO than .358----kind of like a 6.5 JDJ on steroids. I neck down in steps using first my .375 JDJ sizing die then the .338 JDJ sizing die---not a big deal since you only do it the first time with a brand new .444 marlin case. pg

I have a SSK SS 12 inch Contender in .411JDJ. Was shooting it today. I easily get 2200fps+ with 210g bullets using 40g+ of IMR4227. I have used bullets all the way up to 385g using again 4227. My favorite bullet though is a prototype I was asked to test, don't know what it will be called if/when it hits the market. It is a 200g TC FMJ with a destressed tip. Sort of like a FailSafe but not so much brass in the front. Only bad thing is that I only got 300 to test, and I've been shooting them in all my .41 calibers.

Hey Crawfish that was my barrel, heh, heh. The one that took 28 days priority mail through our most efficient postal service.
I only shot two rounds through it and they were touching at 50 yards. It seemed very accurate - has it turned out that way?
I would be those 210 gr XTPs and Sieras would make quite a hole in something.

Hey Rob. The .411JDJ has really turned into a honey. I enjoy working with that BIG old case. So far all that has been killed by it have been some feral goats and dogs. I'm scheduled for a dance with the piggies 12-13 APR, plan is to bring the .411JDJ and the as yet untested SBHH .41RemMag BUT I have a still NIB 657-5PC that is just yelling to get out and burn some powder. I'll have to try some of my tryed and true .41RemMag loads to see if it likes any or if I'll have to come up with something different. I'll bet a paycheck it will love my 250g CPBT/17.5/2400 in Starline cases all the other .41s sure do no matter which flavor .41 it is.
