I would think it would be too heavy for deer, especially from a 10" barrel. I have been using the 180 grn. Speer for years with great success. Never lost one yet. Hornady came out with a 180 grn. bullet made especially for a single shot that may work better in your 10" barrel.

I would recommend the 180 Hornady SSP. I think 220+ is too heavy for the case as it doesn't have the powder capacity to move it fast enough.

Of course, that's in an ideal world. If I was broke and somebody gave me a box I'd use them. [Wink]
