Hey Ridgerunner, I've had one of those for several years and just sold it about two months ago. This may not be incouraging, but I couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with mine. It did fine off the bench but I had a heck of a time getting a good hold in a hunting situation. Practice, practice, practice! It liked Berger MEF bullets, 55g and Winchester 748 powder. The most accurate loads were not real scorchers, maybe around 35g or so. Hope this helps UMB [Smile]

RidgeRunner, is this a factory barrel? If so and if it is anything like my Encore Rifle barrel of the same caliber, my advice would be to start of by either buying some J.B. Bore Cleaner, or maybe the Final Finish Kit put out under David Tubb's name. My rifle barrel seems to foul incredibly after a very few shots. Anyway, in my rifle barrel I have been shooting the 40 gr B-Tip and Varget with very good accuracy results. Sean

Barrel is a good used one from Eds Contenders. I will try the not so "hot" loads ot see what I get. I hear fast burn powder to get the most from shorter 15"barrel. I will shoot it next week and see what I get.

The "fast powder" theory is really hogwash. Forget you ever heard about it. The same powders that work well in a 24" 22-250 will give the best results in your 15" barrel. I've shot quite a few same caliber rifle/pistol combos over the years and am telling you what actual shooting experience bears out. I don't know where the "faster powder for a pistol barrel" started, but it just doesn't hold water...
