Gents I have a Contender with the .45 Colt-.410 barrel and I was wanting to mount a scope on it to see what kind of accuracy I can get with .45 Colts. Who makes a scope mount that will fit a 10" ribbed barrel? Thanks for any help.
When I got my 45/410 barrel it had the rib removed and a 3X burris mounted in a TC duo mount. This will be likely what you will need to do. I bought mine for the 410 capability,so I switched the scope and mount to my 260rem barrel and reinstalled the rib on the 45/410. Rick

I have an old 357 mag vent rib barrel. I removed the rib and had the extra holes drilled and tapped for a scope mount. It doesnt look the best as the posts that the rib is attaches to are sticking outta the barrel but is does work.....

There may be a rib mount that will clamp a weaver style base to the rib like some shotguns I've seen. I don't think, however, that you'll be satisfied by the results. These barrels are really just a way to legally shoot a .410 shell in a pistol barrel. I have both a .45/.410 vent rib barrel and a genuine .45 only barrel. The best I saw was about 6 inch patterns at 50 feet. The regular barrel does clover leafs at the same distance.
Yes, Millett made a mount, actually seperate rings that would clamp on a shotgun vent rib. Each ring had a clamping surface with set screws to secure to the rib.
I've used one set on a 12 guage deer barrel with an EER scope and it worked well.
What you could do is measure the width of the rib rail on top and then contact Millett to see if they have something that will fit it properly.
