Have you ever tried any kind of lead bullet.I bought some cast performance 160 gr awhile back and they are terrible as all cast bullets i have tried in this barrel.I'm going to keep trying the XTP 158gr with W296 i think i read once that this round worked better at higher pressures (max loads) but i started at 20gr stopped at 24 gr of 296 not much change.Thanks for reply i'll keep on playing with it thats the best part of reloading.

With the 357/44.... no. I figured with non gas checked buttets I get some nasty leading with the speeds it gets. I was more interested in JHP's for hunting. I haven't used my 357/44 much in years. i did hunt it a few times last season though. I've always used mine with iron sights, dot sights or 2x scopes, so i never really found out, nor tried to see just what it would do, accuracy wise.
