Been lurking for a while after following you over from that other place you call the "pond". I'm more impressed with the quality of the discussions here that's for sure!
While it's kinda popular to bash T/C for their products and service I want to tell you all about a very good experience I just had!
In 1978 I purchased a Contender and a 10" 7TCU barrel. Had a sweet trigger job put on it and shot IHSMA with it for about 8 years. Then life got in the way of shooting untill about a year ago when I started again with a range in my back yard. Last month I bought a 10" 22 Hornet barrel for the Contender to play with but when I put it on it wouldn't open! Arghh! Had to send it in and at the same time I thought I'd be smart and complain about the accuracy of the 7TCU barrel so they would replace it with a new one with the screw-on front sight... To make a long story short- they replaced the entire gun!! A twenty-something year old gun and barrel that had been shot I don't know how many thousands of times- they just up and gave me a new one!!!!
I'm sitting here looking out the window at my old Mazda thinking wouldn't it be nice if Mazda would do that with my car???
So am I ever going to complain about my T/C? I don't think so!!!
Oh by the way- the 7TCU shoots 3/4" at 100 yds with some 15 year old ammo. I'm still working up loads in the Hornet but have shot some .2's with Hornady 40 VMAX and Rem 50 PLHP. Yes I WILL buy a G-2! It'll go well with the Contender and Encore. Just one man's opinion.

Dave...great post! I have had the same EXACT experience with T/C customer service. They are a top shelf group that I will deal with for a long time to come. And yes, I too will have a G-2 when they are available.
