| The 300WM,you can get factory ammo with 180 and 200 grain bullets that would be good to take either game, I use 165BT in my SS15" Barrel to take Deer with, it shoots this load a little less than MOA and shoots 150 Rem factory loads a little over MOA, and the 180 Rem factory loads about 1 1/2"at 100 yards, the 200 grain loads are a hand full to shoot in an un-breaked barrel and I've never shot any groups with this bullet. | .300WSM you can get more out of it and there is factory ammo for it, which is hot it self. [ 03-24-2003, 20:38: Message edited by: handcanon ] |

| T/CNut, Its a rechambered 308 by SSK, I've heard the same thing about the WSM calibers, in fact some of the custom barrel makers won't chamber for them such as SSK, they say there is too much back thrust for a single shot such as the Encore and streches the brass. I think I saw an article by Mike Bellm on this subject once, you might ask Mike about this on his news letter. Albert |
