Any of you guys know what these are worth. Give me high and low values for what you've either bought or sold them for. This particular one is in 7mm IHMSA. TIA.

EDIT: I see that I need to add more info. This barrel was a rechamber job done by Elgin Gates (originator of IHMSA) . I used it for one season and it shot really well. Bore and chamber are excellent. Finish has some wear from rubbing on the Zytel stock (bottom and sides) but not that you wood see when on a stock. There are a few surface pits in the blue. SOmeone was looking for this particular caliber, but he's trying to tell me you can buy them for $25-$35, which I felt was incredibly cheap. I asked him for $50, and you might have thought I was trying to rape him !!!! I found some on the internet in $45-$55 dollar range, that's why I priced mine at $50.

Need more info. New or used barrel, factory re-chamber or match barrel. A rough estimate would be $50-100.

Is the barrel brand new and unfired ?

Any exterior or bore interior surface discoloring, rust or pitting ?

Is it a custom barrel originally chambered in 7 IHMSA. or is it just a rechamber from something else ?

I've seen used factory XP takeoff barrels go for around $25 to $50.00 depending on the above.

If you are buying it and it is new "UNFIRED" or fitted around $100 would be a deal. If it is used well.............
BTW, unless it comes with dies, you will have as much or more in them if ya have to buy new as they are pricey. If you are just looking at a rebarrel job, go with the 7-08, or 7-08 AI, pretty much the same and more popular. I think a Lilja XP barrel can be had for under $200.
Oh, if it does come with dies cheap enough and ya don't use the barrel, there aren't many going with this caliber much anymore. So not much call for dies either.

This is off of the 300 Savage case, sometimes hard to find. Someone correct me if I am wrong, but think when Gates came up with this the 7-08 was still a wildcat.
Bottom line, I would say used barrel and dies$50-$75. Just my .02

I believe it was the Nosler #4 manual where I read the quote, not verbatim but along the lines of the IHMSA cartridges were designed to drive sufficiently heavy bullets sufficiently fast to topple the rams, but w/o the elbow abrading recoil of a 7-08. Not sure if the 7-08 had been invented at the time, but .308 brass was certainly commonly available.
