I have the same barrel and am curious what you find that will have a significant improvement over the 7mm Waters. Maybe something based on a .307 Win case or a .444 Rem case ?

Gary Reeder's 7MM GNR. Blows the case out with just enough neck to hold the bullet. This is what he says about that wildcat, 7 mm GNRthis one is an excellent long-range cartridge. It is primarily a 7 X 30 Waters improved. That is, we take a 7 X 30 and blow the case out straight and put a sharp Ackley type shoulder on it. Then we shorten the neck to approximately 1/10 inch. That is plenty of neck to hold the bullet and gives you a lot of extra room for powder. Very accurate at long ranges and much faster than the stock 7 X 30.. Also, you simply shoot the 7 X 30 in it to form the 7 mm GNR.

I have a 7mm & 30 GNR, in 14 inch muzzle tamers, and i really like them, just run 375 winchester brass into the dies and shoot, lots easer to load for than a 30 or 357 herrett, i would tell you how much faster it shoots than a 7-30 but you would think im blowing smoke, and brass lasts a lot longer to when your pushing it to max, my barrels shot a lot more accurate with this wildcat especally in the 7 mm, 120 gr nosler bt and accurate arms 2460 powder is a very good choice, oh by the way it shoots real close to the vel. that Lane Simpson gets with his 7mm shooting times eastener, hope this sheds some light.
