Don't really understand the question, but the only thing he is currently selling is a copy of the Bellm CD. Bellm originally provided the content and Forshee put it in CD form. Forshee updated the thing a bit, mostly just replacing ordering info with his own. If you look, for hammer ext's he refer's folks to VV and doesn't have any springs in stock. Bellm originally supplied him with everything. Then he burnt Bellm (and Bellm's family). Now, I'm guessing that he took some of Bellm's springs and sent them out to be fabricated. His site says that he should have them in stock in 30 days. Doesn't take any know-how or skill to do that. Heck, I could do that! steve

quote:Well, anyone with a computer, server, internet provider etc can put up a website and offer products for sale. That does not make one moral or immoral...and one's lack of morality will not take away one's computer, server, internet provider etc...there really are no true "internet police" unless one is a paedophile or something. Hey, look at the anti's. They all have websites promoting very unconstitutional stuff, and they are still online....not sure exactly what you are getting at

Then there is also the matter of technical assistance. He does no gun work of any kind whatever, so what kind of technical support can you expect if you get in a bind? Installing the spring, even the factory spring, is the most difficult part of the process, and there are some legitimate complaints about the design of my springs. They are made to give more force over a longer distance to help insure the hammer rebounds to half cock when you remove your finger from the trigger, but for at least the heavier weights of springs, I know we can do with less travel. However, with the lighter springs, guessing from about #5 down through #7, we may have to stick with the current design. Time and experience will dictate which way we go..... experience, the one thing a plageurist normally lacks, that and brains enough to come up with an original idea. The current shape of the springs developed first when we started with the lighter weights and helped greatly to solve the problem of the hammer not rebounding unless the hammer spring was shortened significantly. JUST SO HAPPENS...... I had a long conversation with the shop that makes my springs, and a compromise design is in the works. PLUS, the fellow at Alliance, NE that made up a set of pliers for installing springs for me has been asked repeatedly if he would supply pliers so modified to me and at what price. To date he has never even responded, so I am moving ahead with the pliers also. I got some pliers to modify, but have not had time to do them, so I'm turning it over to the shop that makes the springs. Bottom line is that 1) the heavier weights of springs (at least)will be easier to install and 2) nifty pliers will be available soon also. I REALLLLLLY like the set I have. The jaws fit right around the spring coils and are hooked so that there is no way the spring will slip out. They fit right into the opening in the back of the sear and will work either in the frame or for installing the spring in the sear first, held with the "assembly pin" I supply. Forshee selling springs will muddy the water some, but knowing the person as I do, I doubt it will go far. But you never know. Then there is the question as to who you want to buy from...... one with an extensive reference site or one with a bird he does not have any longer, or a horse either. He was travelling pretty light when he left his wife, the source of the bird and the horse! He does do some pretty neat work with the horseshoes, but a gun person he is not in the least. Mike

He may possibly have some Wyoming Stones yet. You are correct about the stones being hard to come by. The guy who supplies the stone is no longer around. (Out of country) I have a pretty good quantity on hand that should last through much of the winter and do have some of the raw stone located that I can either go get myself or have shipped here where I can cut it. We have a 24" rock saw, so cutting is no problem. It would be nice if Forshee would send me the $170 he still owes me...... buy something from him and ask him to forward the $$ to me. Fat chance, right? Mike
