OK guys, i'm in the process of putting together a new rig. It's gonna be a 17" Broughton-barrelled 243 WSSM with a match neck on the Savage Striker. Any ideas how good the stock is? I've heard some say it's flimsy. Any idea what, if anything can be done with it to make it a little stiffer??

You are correct about the flimsey stock. I put a good amount of steel bed in the hollow area in front of the trigger. This did the trick. Keep us informed as to how the short mag shoots. Should be a very accurate gun.Good luck!
