dgr416,

Don't know what it will do out of a 23" barrel but if you order the $68 Hornady dies from SSK, you'll get JD's data sheet if you ask for it. The 375 is also in a few of the loading books. I'm sure Accurate has it listed and I think it is in the new Hornady book. You can download the Accurate Powders 375 data on there web site.

One other thing, I wouldn't start near the SSK load data sheet's max with a factory T/C barrel. I wouldn't do it with any cartridge, but with some other JDJ rounds, I haven't been able to reach JD's max loads with rechambered barrels where the same chamber in a SSK barrel will shoot the max listed with no problems.

I'm sure most people start low and work up but I notice a lot of articles in SSK's newspaper where they get the max load and drop down 1/2g and work up.

My contender is almost new but just been in gun cabinet for 20 years.I ordered folding stock and forend to fit it.The G2 contender forend is only one that fits this barrel.I cant wait for 204 Ruger barrels either.should I use the clear nail polish on the weaver bases to hold it down for good.It works on my light 416 rem mag.The 375 jdj in this barrel should be alot faster than 375 win I hope!

I would get the dies and load info from JD Jones. If you have any questions just call him.
If you are in need of some brass, send me an e-mail and we can visit. I shoot the 220grn Hornady flat point in my 14" JDJ barrel. I'm shooting 49grn of IMR4895 with the 220 grn bullet at 1980-2005fps at 70 degrees out side temp. This is not close to the max. You probably will get approx 200fps more on the carbine barrel. Good luck
Mike

I just want to say thanks for all the info that has been passd on to me on my new adventure. You all have been very helpful in putting up with us rookies.

I will be ordering the dies from SSK and get some brass form Midway. I will also order a 2x Burris scope, with weaver base and rings (4x4) and then go out and have fun.

Thanks again,
Raf

I have the dies for .375 JDJ on my online store also.

http://www.bellmtcs.com/store/item.php?pid=53&cid=22

Note the info there regarding the two different shoulder shoulder diameters.

Out of curiosity, what is the fired case diameter from the TC factory .375 JDJ barrels?

In case I don't get back here soon, please email the info to me at mike@bellmtcs.com .

Thanks!
