XPhunter, I want to thank you for your " long winded answer". It is nice to find someone with a brain. My first thought was you did ,have a brain. Now I should lut you know the same fo my self,( but I can't spell). I am extremly picky about my shots. If the conditions are not very close to perfect I will not shot. I have passed up alot of shots on big, nice deer for one reason or the other. MOA will give a 15" brl, that is what I want. I like your suggestions also. Mainly the .25 WSM. I like a .25. I would like to have one of my XP's rebarreld, but in what? and who to do the work? It is a rear grip XPR in .35 REM. Again thank you very much for your excelent reply. CFP

cfp, The man I trust to do my bolt specialty handgun work is Greg Tannel, Gre-Tan Rifles, www.gtrtooling.com (phone number is on the web page). He is a smith, hunter, and competitor. His work is great! Tell him Ernie recommended you. Greg built the 7.82 Patriot and has built the 6.5-284 (but it is off to H-S Precision for a paint job) then final fit & finish then in my hands. He also did the work on my hunting buddy's (sscoyote) 6.5-284 XP-100 that hit a coyote @ 906 yards a week or so ago. Caliber selection is up to you. The sky is the limit (well almost). What purpose do you want the XPR for? Will MOA do a 25WSM? There will be a long range handgun seminar put on by Don Bower in early June in Alliance, NE where you will be able to shoot out to 1,000 yards if your heart so desires. Good luck on your project and let me know what you decide. xphunter
