7-30, Field Pistol Silhouette is shot standing at 4 banks of targets - chickens at 25 meters, pigs at 50, turkeys at 75 and rams at 100. Generally, there are 10 targets in each bank. The targets are half the size of the big bore targets. Legal cartridges are Straight-wall, centerfire pistol cartridges of standard manufacture are allowed with a maximum case length of 1.29 inches, as specified for that cartridge. Also allowed are the .32- 20 with a length of 1.32 inches, .270 REN, .22 Hornet, 25-20 and Rimfire (.22LR and .22WMR). Rimfire ammunition must be fired as manufactured. I've only shot the big bore targets, but field pistol sounds fun. It follows real close to NRA Silhoette rules. | ||
