Hey guys,
I had a question today from a friend of mine and thought I would pass it to some better minds to see what you all could come up with.
What do you consider the best ballistic software out there today?
Cost?
Is there free downloadable software out there?
If so, is it any good?

Point Blank is available for free (if you can find it on the net). I use it, it is pretty basic but works! I have it and could forward it to anyone via e-mail....

EDIT: If you would like it, please send me an e-mail (listed in my profile) and i will forwarded....

45nut,
I will look into it.
I have on old Dos Ballistix program which has always worked for me and the Barnes Ballistic program which is windows based. I'm just curious what is out there. The Barnes takes more time than I would like to give it.
Has onyone tried Sierra's software?

I have RCBS's software. Great data base of cartridge drawings. Not much for load data.
I think that Quick load is the best. Allows you to change any parameter an see the results in pressure and volosity (sig). Down side is cost.
I think it's about 145.00.

XP - Do a search under "Ultimate Reloading Software." I believe that was the thread's name. We had a big discussion about this a few months ago.

In the meantime check out the website for this company at www.aement.com
