I don't know about anyone else but I have had enough HEAT for the year! 104 in the shade slight wind (hot wind at that) out of the South. Man I would like to go to the range, but this heat just takes most of the fun out of it. I have seen some of you have even had some pressure signs that could have come from the weather. This is no joke, I saw a fellow spray anti-perspirant on his hands so they wouldn't sweat. Any of you ever tried this trick? It's so hot here that the fish are coming up on the bank to sweat! Jeff

Hot and humid, Thats the way we have been for the last month Jeff. No sign of any change here for a while either. The anti-perspirant don't work on my arm pits or any other part of my sweaty body. I just carry a rag and stick my head under the water cooler about every 30 mins. It helps a little.
Ya we had some heat but today was mid 70s and enough rain to settle the dust, just a perfect day at the range other than a slight gust of breeze now and then and not enough ammo for the whole day. There will be tommorow! Ahh life is good Wes

Well, it's hot enough here that the trees are chasing the dogs, and the cows are giving powdered milk.. And W 748 is sensitive, real sensitive.......... Jim
Here in south central Texas, it hasn't been as bad as it could be (or as bad as it has been the past couple of years).
Today, it reached a steamy (humid) 95 degrees before a shower came through and cooled things off. By 7 p.m., it was 80 degrees -- and that's pretty darn pleasant for Texas in early August.

Just to place an example for the opposite : I guess we never had such a cool and rainy summer before !Except for a day here and there we had rain all the way through july , spell that 4 weeks in a row ! Temperatures were in the 80`s during the days and in the 60`s at night ,hey , I do not complain , the grass grows greener than ever it`s nice and cool to sleep ! Just my 2 cents worth .....!
Folks may chide us about the cold and dark in the winter, but there is a flip side to that coin! You can always bundle up when it's cold, but there is only so little clothing you can where, and then still be miserable in the heat.
Sure, we love visitors in Alaska. Our unoficial motto is: come, give us your money, and stay out of our way
Actually, Alaskans are by and far the friendliest lot you'll find, but they get downright nasty when folks drive the speed limit or slower, or worst of all, decide to stop in the middle of a road to look at wildlife.

That's pretty good Jeff! I just wished it worked for me too!! I was outside a good part of the day at Williamsburg for the smallbore silhouettes and I didn't get a bit smaller.
About the only thing that really shrank was the amount of Bob C's margarita mix after the shootin' was done!
