I am looking to buy replacement pistol grips for my Encore. The factory grips are too large, and I can't maintain a proper grip and still control the trigger. I contacted Pachmayr, and they do not, as yet, make a grip for this piece.
Does anyone out there know of a place where I can purchase replacement grips. I probably could sand the factory grips to fit, but I would rather replace them. Resale value, etc.
Thanks
Jay

Check out the work done by Denzel Roberts. I havn't bought one of his pieces yet, but I'm sure I'll end up with one soon. I just reworked my original and finished it with Tru-oil. Works great! Denzel's site is http://dwrobtcwoodnmor.tripod.com/index.html

I didn't like the grips on my Encore either. So I put some of the factory rubber grips on. I got them for a song at the gun show so said what the hey. They are a little smaller and I like them. They soak up the recoil too. Slim

Had the same problem so I ordered a pair of recoil tamers from Mr. Roberts. They should be here in oct. He said the waiting time is 4 months. He assured me that these grips would fit my hand perfectly. I'll let you know how they fit when I get them. [Smile]

I've had the same experience as Slim, the factory rubber grips fit me much better than the wood.

Ditto Slim and Greg.
I purchased a TC composite grip for my first Encore handgun. They fit me well and absorb recoil nicely. I recently purchased a second frame and it came with the wooden grip. It certainly feels larger and does not fit me as well as the factory composite.
