Lehighton78,
The best place to get some answers is from the horses mouth. To your good fortune the horses mouth lives near you in Aurora, CO. His name is Don Bower and his phone number is (303) 343-9596. You may have to speak up or repeat yourself since Don has some hearing loss.
Another good resource is Marc Sheehan sheehan93@hotmail.com Marc lives in Nebraska and should be very helpful also. If you want to see some of Don's creation shoot tiny groups at ranges beyond 500 yards there is a long range handgun seminar coming this June in Alliance, NE. Specific date has not been set yet. You can check the Bower post if you have interest.

I believe it is a 307 winchester improved. Not sure about dies, but as was mentioned, get ahold of Don to get the skinny.

I would expect it is on par with the 309 JDJ and 308 Bellm. As far as what game it is capable of taking, I would consider it one of the stronger whitetail rounds, but not quite enough for elk, moose and bears under all field conditions. Which is to say, for some shot placements, caliber is irrelevent, for other shots, you need enough a decent amount of bullet weight and velocity to penetrate heavy bone, muscle and flesh, and the various 30's come up a little bit short.
