Hey Guys,
I'm hoping this year's deer season will be "The Year of the Striker." [Wink] I've got a 308 Striker I bought a few years ago, but due to various odd circumstances, I've yet to kill anything with it... [Frown] Consequently, we just haven't "bonded/developed good karma/plug in your favorite feel good phrase here" yet, despite the fact it shoots just about all loads less than 1 MOA to respectable velocities. [Confused] Anyway, I'm determined to give it some much needed TLC this year. The load I've worked up will use the Hornady 150 gr SST/Fed GM brass/H380 49.5 gr/OAL 2.835"/Rem 9 1/2 primers. The muzzle velocity at 75 deg is 2520 fps. Three shot group ran 0.53" @ 100 yards. The Winchester 150 gr factory load runs 2635 fps, but at higher pressures and at 2.0" group @ 100 yards.... [Eek!] Will carry a Burris 3-12X LER scope in Burris Sig Z-rings and T'SOB base. It will be sighted in 2" high at 100 yards as I plan on using it to hunt from a box stand near the middle of a large power line, 500 yards X 80 yards. Now I've just got to load up a couple boxes of ammo. I'm excited already! [Wink] Gary T.

Hey Gary
I am leaving for Wyoming in the morning. I have a brand new striker 7wsm waiting for me there. I will have to use factory ammo and I will have 2 weeks to get aquainted with "Baby" [Big Grin] .
This will be my first ever deer hunt. At age 63 I am a late starter [Eek!] .
I will have a 25/06 Sendero and a 7mm suoer mag MOA as well. I have 2 tags to fill.

DED, Wish you the best of luck on your deer hunt. [Smile] One of my hunting highlights was the Handgun Hunters Intl antelope hunt in WY a "few" years back. I hope you enjoy your hunt just as well. Let us know about the hunt as soon as you get back. [Razz] Gary T.
