I was looking at my Contender the other day and the blueing is starting to show some ware around the trigger gaurd and other places. The scope has a few dings and scratches. Then I got thinking How come? I looked back over the last 18 years. How many miles have I carried it while hunting woodchucks and deer? There have been newer handguns, more powerful and faster handguns, but I always seem to gravitate back to the old Contender. It has been there in the good times and bad. Just like an old friend that you have not seen in years, as soon as you are together again it's like you have never been apart. I think I will keep this old friend. Lone Hunter
