I agree with LRHA-Shooter. Uncle Sam is shipping us out of Alaska to Virginia. If it was close, I would attend the clinic. Quater Miler I e-mailed you a few times about the Bower manual. Do you have any left over? If so contact me at handguner@hotmail.com and I'll get a MO off to you ASAP.

Lets get some names!, Places or deposits. Manuals are in print, last I knew. I ask for a dozen. I have saved the e-mails I received for the manuals but you may want to e-mail again to make sure. If your interested in taking part for the clinic and info, post here or e-mail at tcpck@jdweb.com , need a range that can go to least 500yds, more would be better. More later, see what happens.
I don't know where the range is you're trying to line up in Okla. but Okla. City Gun Club has a 500 yard range where we shoot IHMSA (at 200 yds.) and the blackpowder sillhouette shooters shoot their high dollar Sharps replicas rifles out to 500 yds.
If interested you may want to contact Jim Fields at Jimfokc@msn.com or 405-721-2186, he's our IHMSA State Dir. plus he's on the board of OKCGC and he also shoots the blackpowder silhouette matches.....tell him I sent you.
I think it's time to do a "Clinic" east of the big muddy, like in Pennsvlvania, Virgina, or Maryland!
I agree with LHRA shooter give us guys in the north east a shot! I would definitely take time off for this if it were available. I'm in NY, but could make it to any one of the above mentioned places.

I am interested no matter the location (wanted to make the last one and had to back out at the last minute) but would prefer one out here on the east coast!
If it is to be held out west, I'd like it to be held near to Oregon/Washington state, so that afterwards I could travel out a little further and see some family and Mike Bellm

I am interested. If it is in OK I would give about a 90% yes vote on being able to be there. But I would have to agree with the others that it should be spread around a little. If I remember Don didn't want to travel to far the last time though? I am still waiting to see some more pics from the last time. Jeff

I to am interested but dates and cost are a factor. OK is great for me as it is due North but still a long drive from central TX. I'm sure flying with firearms is much more complex now. I now have all of my cases in for my new 308 Bellm and need to try it out once I get some rounds loaded up!

1/4 miler, Been gone at camp again. Is Don considering Claremore again? As mentioned the OKC gun range has a 500 yard range. The only thousand yard range I know of is about 20 miles south of Lawton, OK. They don't have benches (It's primarily a sniper school). GonHuntin's shooting range (general vicnity of Tulsa) goes to 500-600 yards, if I remember right. xphunter

I am leaving it open for an informal group shoot here this fall up a canyon about 30 minutes or so from here. It will be for free, on public land, so I couldn't charge if I wanted to without going through all the insurance red tape, etc.
Against better professional advice, the range across the highway from me is now shooting out to 600 yards again, and a small contingent of shooters could show up there when there was not a scheduled event going on.
It would be great to get out and shoot with some of you this fall. Keep it in mind and let me know. Weather is good until late October, but later in the year is fine also. During the day, it is seldom cold enough to prevent shooting with bare hands even in the middle of the winter. Thus, there can be a pretty wide window of opportunity, but I would suggest working around the pre-hunting season rush.
Rich, When I spoke with Don this past Saturday about the possibility of a seminar in Oklahoma, Don said it would depend upon the gentleman who hosted last time here in OK. So far the man (don't remember his name) is considering it, but either hasn't made up his mind or is waiting to hear if there would be enough interested to come. To my knowledge the max range is 600 yards. There is likely a couple of guys here locally that would go if it was in Claremore (spelling?) xphunter
mbk, Seminar cost in Alliance was $150 per person. You are responsible of lodging and food. If the one takes place in OK my guess is that it should be the same. That would depend on how much we have to pay (if any) for use of the range itself. I guess I need to get back in contact with Don and get this man's name phone number and see how serious he really is about putting one on here in OK. xphunter
Is there any chance of this going on? Doesn't seem to be much interest. Is this too close to the last one? If it were in Oklahoma where in the state? Which airport? Etc? Rich Jake

Rich Jake, In a very brief phone conversation with Don this weekend (he has family in the hospital and was on his way to visit when I called) he gave me the name of the man who put it together the last time it was in OK. His name is Steve Lagow. The seminar was in Claremore (near Tulsa). But Don thinks that Steve lives in Joplin, Missouri. Don couldn't find a phone number for Steve. I believe that there would be enough for a seminar if we can get a firm commitment from Steve. I didn't know anything about this till I saw it here myself and I live in the OKC area. I will try to find more info for all interested. If I remember right, Mike Bellm was at the last seminar held here in OK. He may know how to get in contact with Steve. Mike if you know, will you please post the information? xphunter
I have a video tape of the Alliance Monday seminar. This is the class room time we had with Don. I have not had time to view it since coming home. I can say the quality is not going to be excellent as my recorder is quite old. The recorder was set in the back of the room and turned on until the tape ran out. No editing. You will see everything that went on there. If there is any interest I will view it this weekend and try to find someone who can duplicate it. Cost will depend on price to duplicate. I feel that Don should get $5.00 for his part. Let me know who is interested. If you want to email me rbartman@outdrs.net Rich
If there is a clinic held somewhere in the east, I'd sure try to make it. I might even build a gun for it! I have been reading and re-reading his journal and find some of it most interesting.
I just saw a 6.5X284 XP barrel on one of the auction houses going for $25. Must be shot out.
I still want to do the 1/4 miler stuff with my DW's, I know it works fine at 300 but that is as far as I have been able to find a place to shoot.
TUSCO, where the IHMSA Intls are next week has at least 500 yards on the practice range, I wonder if they'd be interested in a clinic.
Regards, Mr. DW
