Reading today in the American Rifleman in the "Top Guns for 2003" artical....

"Thompson / Center Arms Inc. , building on the success of the popular G-2 Contender pistol series, is offering the new G-2 Contender rifle...."

Success? Popular? What means these words?

Well,

If anything it shows how out of touch at times the lagging print media is.

Sounds more like advertising propaganda than anything else and an editor willing to repeat it for the masses.

Exactly, where is the G2 that has had all this success to build on?

Does the American Rifleman magazine have a Web site, or an email address to send comments to? Can't find anything in the magazine. Russ

Just like any articles printed on a new concept, they (T/C) are probably basing the G2's popularity on how it reviewed w/ the field testers. Don't get me wrong - I would like to feel one up close and personal too! The reviews that are printed from writers that got a chance to ring out the gun(s) on selected hunts praised its performance for the most part - Thus making it "popular".

Of course the Yugo got out-of-this-world reviews from the auto industry before it was available to the public.......and it tanked!

According to their "letters" page in the magazine, it looks like strictly a snail mail proposition.
