Ok, who out there has shot some of those in your 357 Max or 357 Herrett? Loads? Results"

I have in my Max. I'm not certain but I think the best load was 21.5 gr. of H110. Best does not mean good. I tried H4227 and 2400. 4227 gave better (not good) accuracy but less velocity. I keep reading that some really like these bullets, so much so that a fellow on this list actually popped for a run of 50,000. My personal opinion is that the length of the bearing surface is just too little to ensure consistent alignment of the bullet in the bore. BTW, I don't like them in the .35 Rem either.

I have them and found out a few things; first, they don't shoot well out of factory T/C 357 mags or Maxes, I suspect the long throat hurts them. They shoot excedingly well out of my short chambered 357/44 bain and davis barrel, tied for best bullet in that barrel. They shoot exceptionally well out of my tight chambered 357 max barrel by Virgin Valley. Out of my 16 inch 35 rem carbine barrel, they shoot 3 shot 3/4 inch groups, but that skinny barrel heats up fast and strings the shots after that. They shoot great out of My Marlin M94, but only loaded single shot. So I guess I would say in the right application, they are great bullets, but they aren't likely the great general purpose bullet for a wide variety of applications. If anyone out there wants to sell more for a reasonable price, let me know, I might be interested. regards, Graycg

I had very good results with the 357 herrett. I am not sure how well they would expand. accuracy was very good, and so was velocity with h4227.
