hehe, shot my 6tcu contender yesterday with fireforming loads. imr 4198 and sierra 70gr blitzkings made some tight groups at 100. one of em put 4 shots in 5/8" but i pulled one out that opened it up to 1". always have that one shot that blows it all. a round of applause is in order for jeff at vvcg. i had some sizing die problems and jeff had me send the 13" 6br back in for a checkup. the barrel and chamber is just fine. turns out my redding full length die is not squeezing the case down enough at the base. makes the cases too tight going in the chamber and i have to force the action closed. jeff compared his redding die and the case went in fine. now if redding will be as good as jeff, i'll be setting sail. redding makes a small base die for tight custom chambers. looks to me like that would be a lot of extra unnecessary trouble and added die expense. if one redding full length die will work, shouldn't they all? now jules, there's you some reading material. hehe!

I'm always happy when I put 4 in less then .750 so 5/8" is great I loaded up some 70gr hornadys and some 70gr Noslers for the 6x223 today. Used H335 this time. I'have found Redding to stand behind there products. The'll take care of you i'm sure.
