Don Bower & Marc Sheehan recently told me in a phone conversation that there is a good possibility of having another 3-5 day long-range clinic in the late Spring in Alliance, Nebraska. Are you interested?
Please let me know. Ernie (AKA-xphunter)

Sorry guys. To my knowledge it will be in Nebraska like last year with a small possibility of Hutchinson, KS as a back up. We only have a 600 yard range here (Hutch) whereas Alliance has a 1,000 yard range. xphunter
P.S. You may be able to talk Don into coming to that far for a seminar on your home stomping ground, but transportation with all of those guns and ammo would be fun to get through security. Where there is a will there is usually a way.
I would love to attend. Like the others I'm On the east coast in NY. I would definitely drive anywhere from here to Florida to attend one. Nebraska is just too far for me. Rich Jake

I still say we need to get a segment of this filmed for one of the outdoor shows! Surely we could get someone out there to shoot some footage for a segment on one of the National outdoor showss!

TCLouis, The best we did last year was to get an author (Steve Hugel) who writes some for Precision Shooting & Accurate Rifle attend and he has written an article in The December issue of the Accurate Rifle. Once a schedule gets hardened I would be glad to contact someone from one of these productions if anyone has a connection. It would really put into the limelight what most, if not all of us know about specialty handguns. xphunter
At this point all I can commit to is that I would be interested. I would need to get a decent load put together for my .223AI barrel (which hasn't even arrived yet) and then also get clearance from a couple of people. Not real sure about the actual chances that I could get away for even a few days. Sounds real interesting though.

B_Koes, Right now all we are doing now is putting out feelers. The plans are to have it, but we need to know if we have enough interest. I think you would absolutely love it! Ernie

Hey XP, I'd say I might be interested if it were at Alliance (depending on work). If it so happened to be at Hutch, you could not keep me away! . Keep me in mind. Mike

XP Just a thought. Could you maybe try to have it a little more centrally located so that the east coast guys could make the trip??? That way no one would have to travel across the US to attend. Rich Jake

RJ, Have you ever got out a map of the USA and noticed where Nebraska and Kansas are located? Sorry, I could not resist, I think I know what you mean. Catch you later on MSS's chat. Mike(y)

its at a friend of mines house in new hampshire... cant say much more than that. He has backstops and metal gongs at 300yd, 500yds, 700yds, and 1000yds, it also has a sand pit that you can shoot about 200yds in. The road into it is gated at the sand pit. I know him, and my son took hunter safety with his son and we shoot there quite often. Its not open to the public though.
contact the 1000yd club in pennsylvania and see if they would let you hold a seminar there that would be the best place with the best facilitys and centralized location for the east coast.

The 1000 yard club near Williamsport PA only can handle 1000 yard shooting. The club shoots on a tree farm, that they don't own. They only have 100 yards stops and 1000 yard stops. You basicly shoot from one side of a hill, across a valley to another hill side.

I see. Maine is second only to Alaska in the number of per capita firearms ownership, you'd think there would be at least one 1000yd range in the state.
A "market of opportunity" for some entrepreneur type, I'd say.

1/4 Miler, Thanks for posting that on the web. I spoke again with Don this past Friday afternoon but I was on my cell phone headed to Colorado with our youth on a ski trip. I just got back last night. Will you be able to make it again this Spring? Ernie

If all is well enough on the home front, I'd sure try to make it again, myself, but unlike the last time, this time I'm going there to shoot! Full program, paying attendee under the Master's tutelage on the shooting bench.
Last time I shot for about an hour and a half maybe, right before pulling out.

To all interested, The time frame of the seminar is from mid-May to possibly early June. Part of this adjustment is the hope of warmer weather. xphunter
