The following was forward to me by $bob$ and is repeated here with his permission. ************************************* Sad news friends...... The TC-List is down again and may never return... In case this message doesn't ever reach the original TC-List, I'm trying to cc it to every TC-List member that I have in my address book. If I've missed anyone please forward it to them. Chuck Isdale, our friend and benefactor who is the owner of the TC-List, is in the hospital and unable to take care of the TC-List. I don't know what the nature of his illness is but I hope you all will join me in saying a prayer for Chuck. Chuck, has unselfishly, and without any hope of payment, and damned little thanks, provided us with what is likely the best shooting related elist on the internet for quite some time now. Now, while he is in the hospital, the list is having technical problems that possibly can't be overcome. I have taken it upon myself to start a "sister" list to the original TC-List on Yahoo Groups. This list is being held "In Trust" for Chuck until he get's back on his feet and is able/willing to take over again or gets the list working on Prairienet or his own server. It isn't meant to replace the original TC-List or do anything more than provide a handy place for us all to meet and continue our free exchange of ideas like Chuck always allowed us to do. Anyone that want's to participate there is certainly welcome. The list is being run in the tradition of the original TC-List and as I stated before (it bears repeating) Chuck will be the legal owner and total controller of that Yahoo TC-List if he wants it when he returns to good health. The Yahoo TC List can be found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/TC-L/ . Anyone can join and for those that don't do Yahoo or don't want to mess with subscribing the hard way you can just email me at bobwmonahan@earthlink.net and I'll send you an invitation to the list that will lead you through the setup process. There are currently 9 members of that list and it's growing hourly. Please remember to say a prayer for Chuck to return to good health soon!!! Find below a message to Charlie Rothmund from Chuck dated yesterday evening. Charlie please keep us updated on Chuck's condition. Sincerely, $bob$ **************************** This has been pretty traumatic for those of us who've been on the TC-L for many years. From the messages I've received I think that we unanimously wish Chuck the very best and are praying for his swift recovery.

While we are talking of TC-L, I was visiting a site yesterday and followed a link to Wades old site. It is still live, but no updated info from long ago. I for one really enjoyed his site and never knew what sent it to a premature death/inactivity . . . . Maybe the end of a lot of these sites is the effort it takes to keep them going! What happened to Wades site? Some of the old info on the site is just as GREAT as it was when posted. Heck same story with the handgunhunting(?) site. The great ones come and die. Saeed please try to keep this one alive and ongoing!!! LouisB

Thanks Bob - heading that way now. It sounds like Chuck's email account is causing the problems - to bad he doesn't have a back up that could help out. Chuck has been a heck of a guy and I will indeed say a prayer for him. I'm sad that I don't know more about the man, but I have a lot of respect for him due to his support of us TC-aholics. steve

I have certainly appreciated all the effort that Chuck put in the TC-L list. However, I think it would do everyone a great dis-service to let it die. Is there a way someone can take it over until Chuck returns to health?
