I have a factory 15" barrel coming, and I want to know what level the Encore will handle. I will be hunting deer with it.

I picked up a new TC factory 15" Encore barrel in 45-70 late last summer and experimented quite a bit with it.....three different powders, two primers and different crimp tensions.

In my barrel the below load will make one very large jagged hole with five rounds at 100yds scoped and off bags.

Winch. brass...CCI BR-2 primer...Rem. 300gr JHP...58.5grs. of Varget...OAL 2.529.
