I have a 10" 7 TCU barrel for sale and no one seems to want it. So, what kind of custom caliber can i cut it into?? I have read maybe a 7mm Bellem??? What could I use it for, or do you want a 7 TCU?? he he

7mm Bellm would be an excellent cartridge in a longer barrel, I don't think it would be worth the trouble in a 10" barrel.

Yes, 10" would not realize all the potential of the 7mm Bellm cartridge.

Those 7TCU 10" barrels are some of the hardest barrels to sell. Ed Kirkpatrick only asks $120.00 for them in like new shape on his webasite, and I would guess that they are slow movers for him.

My advice, if you really want to get rid of it, would be to list it on Ebay for a starting price of $1.00, and see how high it goes.

I don't really need it, but I would offer $100 for it if it is round.

I had one of the same, and was able to find someone who did want it. I was lucky. The answer I got from Mike Bellm when I asked him what I could rechamber it to was as follows. Cut it off just ahead of the lug, bore it out, thread it and stub in a barrel that can be chambered to something useful and fun.

Seriously though, stubbing in another barrel is a viable alternative if you can't sell it. There are some limits on the diameter of the new chamber just because it is now two pieces and doesn't have the full strength of a regular barrel, but rechambering to any of the small capacity 22 centerfire cartridges or to a 17 caliber chamber is a possibility so long as you stay away from those with high breech pressures.
