Greetings! I recently picked up a Pachmayr Dominator in 308Win and love it! It is fantastically accurate, and with the Burris 3-12AO sitting on it, from a rest I can place all my shots in an inch or most often under an inch at 100 yards with the proper loads.

I love the idea of these 1911 single shot conversions, yet with no possibility that I know of for obtaining extra barrels for it or extra Dominator uppers, and with the Springfield SASS also having been discontinued, I was wondering if anyone had seen or handled or shot the Tanfoglio Raptor?

I have sent an FFL copy and product request to EAA [Tanfoglio's North American Distributor] but I am concerned, as seems the case with most of these interesting 1911 single shot conversions, that the unit might not be available.

Anyone know anything about them?
