I recieved my 10" stainless 357 max from VV the Friday before last. Unfortunately I was out of town last week and didn't get a chance to shoot it.

On the up side, when I called about the barrel, they said it was done on the Tue I called, and they'd ship it the next day. It actually arrived 2nd day UPS that Friday, I think that has been the only gunsmithed project I've recieved that has arrived when the shop said they would ship it. The barrel looks great and locks up like a vault. Best yet, the throat is long enough that I can seat my 200 gr WFN's out to the second canalure, which provides enough case capacity for nearly 25 grs of powder.

I have some 150 grainers loaded up to get on paper, and have some 200 gr's loaded up to see what type of speed I can get with H110, but those were seated to the forward canalure, as I loaded them before the barrel arrives. I also have a line on some of the discontinued W 680 which is supposed to be the powder, and will be curious to wring this thing out with the 200 gr bullets. BTW, my mold was one of CPB's first, so the bullet is the same as they sell. I'll post data once I find out some loads that work.

Paul,
I got my Rolling Block in 357 Max too,I am trying 180gr Spire Points over a CCI400 with 23,24 and 25grs RL 7,,,this load is out of my Contender load book. Should do 1600fps. I will chrony them for you. I need to get some lighter bullets also. I don't suppose you know where I can find more Max brass do you ?
I only have 100 cases I found on Ebay long before I even had a Max. 20/20 Hindsight say's I should'a bought a couple hundred more back then.
I am interested in your results with the 150's.
Where in AK are you ? Seems a Max would be a suitable Sitka Deer load if not even Caribou.
