Is it just me? I was out last week, and coming back this week, this board seems to be primarily compised of posts bashing barrel makers, and fellow shooters.

These boards are unmoderated, and no subject nazi is going to move threads to "more appropriate forums" However, I would like to see the focus of this forum to be about our hunting, target and loading experiences with the various single shot pistols.

This is one of my favorite forums at AR, but I must say I really haven't recieved much of any enjoyment out of it lately.

As an asside, I should have my shorty shortly, so will finally be able to shoot my single shot, currently barrel less contender again!

I wish it would be more technical. Unfortunately it has evolved into a gossip party line. Some of the conversations would be better served by email.

Paul,
I'm sure that the fingers are pointed at me on this one and I am sorry for my posts if they have offended anyone. My wife has always said I talk too much. [Smile] I'll just sit back quietly read the posts. No more trouble from me.

What topics do you want to talk about? Throw out a subject. I'm willing to talk about something more technical. [Smile]

When I have a question I will ask. If I know a answer I will post it. If I have a problem with a Gunsmith I will deal with him/her directly.

Rich,
Topic: Frustration - A long story
I posted this topic and received two responses.
Not even close to the record Jules has.

This post wasn't directed at any individual, but to all. It takes more then one poster to have a thread with ~150 posts in it [Wink]

The reason that I didn't add anything to that thread is that Bobby Tomek answered his Question better than I could have. Since I don't have any Independant knowledge on those calibers I defer to those who know. If I even have read something in that topic & thought it would help someone out I would have posted it. I don't mind helping those who need it, I know i've gotten help from others on the forums. [Smile]

Rich,

I don't expect you to answer all the questions that come up, and didn't really mean to single you out about the 6.5 mm post.
My point is, here's a guy looking for help and he has one response while the post on the "BS at the pond" seems to be occupying everyone's time.

There is a lot of expertise on this forum, and you seem like a great bunch of guys. I learn alot by lurking here.

It just seems odd to me that the posts Paul refers to in this thread get most of the attention and some on topic threads die on the vine.

There are a few people here that I have the utmost respect for in their Knowledge & expertize. I don't want to list all of them, but I would put Bobby in the list. So I only add something if I think it is of importance to the person who posts the question.

I have started threads with questions that Only got a couple of responses & ended. Sometimes one or two guys covers everything worth saying. It was something that I had to get use to as well. I know once or twice I was waiting for a lot of responses & didn't get it. I was then wodering if I phrased the question wrong. Then I realized I had everything I needed in those couple of posts. No need to look further for answers.

As far as the pond is concerned it kinda takes off due to the way some of us left & were asked to leave. It just has a bigger group involved in it.

Greg K,We are here to inform people about what is going around around us.Constructive critisism is just a part of it.God help us if some noxious Nazi forum leader tells us that it's "not right" in "his mind" and deletes the post and won't let that person back into the forum to read the threads.Such a crock of sh*t.I LOVE this forum because I can say,do and listen to anyone I want without fear of a Nazi forum leader kicking me out because I don't support "his way".Sorry to ramble. This is the place to be.
