I am just finishing a forearm for my contender (14") a little over 2 inches wide, 9 inches long. I want to put a harris bipod on it. Does anyone know what kind of swivel stud is best for this? I really don't want a plate on the bottom of the forearm would prefer the stud lock some other way. Any ideas?

My harris bipod has "removed" the sling stud from a couple of my rifles. You say you don't want the bottom plate, but that is what I would recommend because of the extra strength it gives.
