I posted a while back about my G2 with .357 Mag barrel that shoots groups that are very tight side to side, but string vertically as much as 5 inches at 25 yards. I've tried to isolate some variables - ammo, shooter and rest/grip. I noticed something that might tell someone more knowledgable that be what is causing the problem. When shooting with a rest under the forend, the stringing is cut by more than half compared to shooting with the heel of the right hand rested on a mat and nothing supporting the forend. The hinge pin seems snug, and the gun's lockup seems tight. I've heard about hanger bar forearm installations, but don't know what they are. Would that fix this? I feel like the root cause of the problem is some mechanical aspect of the gun. Any advice on how to drill down to the actual problem and remedy it? Thanks. | ||
