What case is the #2 based on. I looked on SSK web site and it only lists the 6mm JDJ on the 225 Winchester?

I'm pretty sure the JDJ #2 is based on the 307 Winchester case.

It's based on the 225 win case......this is the story on why the 6 JDJ #2 is #2......

This is all per SSK..........I asked the question back in Feb of 2001......here is the response:

"Sir, the orginal 6mm JDJ was supposed to have a 40 deg shoulder but the
reamer came in with the same shoulder as the 225, so we kept it, and ordered
a new reamer with the shoulder it was supposed to have in the first place,
thus the #2."
