I don't get many recoveries of Ballistic Tips when launched at moderate velocities as they tend to penetrate completely on most broadside presentations. I stubled upon this photo of a couple that I did recover, however. The doe was a 110-115 pound animal. The hog went at least 255-260. Internal damage was impressive in each instance. It actually appeared the BT exited the hog as there was a nice gaping wound which left a generous blood trail. I am guessing the exit was from secondary bone fragments as the bullet was located in a layer of fat between the muscle and hide. Absolutely GREAT pictures as always from your posts. I have a lot of that bullet and am interested to see the performance from the other end of the envelope. Performance from MVs of 2000-2200 out of my 6.5 TCUs. I may be wrong, but I am expecting complete penetration because of less bullet deformation. Luckily the next couple of years I will have significantly more hunting time! Don't limit your challenges . . . Challenge your limits

You will get tremendous performance at that velocity level -- and more than likely an exit in virtually every instance given broadside presentation. ALso, thanks for the kind words! Bobby Μολὼν λαβέ The most important thing in life is not what we do but how and why we do it. - Nana Mouskouri

Nice picture. I love all the facts included. Nosler 120 6.5mm sure is a sweet bullet. Safe shooting Doug Enjoy life but remember, we are only practicing for something better.

I'm pushing them around 2500 fps out of my Striker. They are very accurate. Haven't shot a deer yet but hope that changes this year.
