In a rifle I would say it would probably work pretty well but in a 15" barrel, I do not know if you would see any real benefit except higher recoil from the heavier powder charge. At least when using a 140 class bullet.

Using a 155 gr Mk or one og the 160 gr ULD's we are trying to get a line on may show promise with the slower H-1000 powder over the faster burning stuff.

I am up to my neck in rifles to get built by big game season but after that I will be doing alot more load testing this winter and spring with the 6.5 WSM to see what it will do with 140 gr and heavier pills.

How do you think H1000 would do in that case maybe unde a slightly heavier pill?
