I bought a used 10" T/C Contender barrel today mainly to use for small game(the box and choke wrench was with it too). This one has no vent rib ,but has a beaded front sight and no rear sights(barrel is drilled and tapped for rear) Does this take a speacial rear sight? I have on hand three rear sights but these will not work because of large front bead. My question is do they make a V-notch or wide-notch rear sight for this gun.

I have the ventilated rib version.

I got out the calipers- the center of the bead and the center of the semicircular "notch" are the same height from the center of the bore.

You could stick a short piece of Weaver Base on your barrel, and file it to your preferences. Make it look like the back end of a shotgun, paint it black- you can easily make something very cool and custom with careful use of hand tools!
