In your opinion what is the best big game caliber for 200 yards and why.?

7mm-08, and .308. with my preference being the 7mm.
i think they are perfect at those ranges, and further on whitetail size game. they are not too hard on you in the recoil department either. easy to shoot, and load for. both have a good selection of bullets light enough for smaller game, and bullets heavy enough for larger game, with trajectories flat enough to not to require too much holdover at 300 yards and less.

I'll have to agree with KYODE, 7-08 or 308 I lean more towards the 308 (and I have both calibers in 15inch barrels). Both are accurate and easy on the recoil. Good bullet selection for both calibers are readly available.
