Well I didn't kill any deer, but I did kill 2 coons, a red fox and a 20lb turkey. It was a lot of fun just the same.

Sure did Rich. I was using an 85gr Nosler BT at just under 3000fps. Now that hunting season is over I can work with it more.

I also might add that I did get to blood the 250imp. contender barrel. I shot the fox in a cut over from a tree stand at about 120yds. or so.
I didn't recover the 85gr Nosler bullet [Smile] but it sure made a mess of the fox [Big Grin]
The rest of the critters were taken with a Rem. 1187.
We deep fried the turkey on New years day. It's the only way to do a wild turkey [Wink]

Jules-
Congrats on blooding the .250 IMP. But didn't you know it's sacreligious for a Contender aficianado to shoot (or admit to shooting!)anything with a scattergun <grin>?

What scope did you put on the .250 IMP?

I never let anything go anymore [Wink] I'm not a trophy hunter....come to think of it, i'm not even a buck hunter [Big Grin] I just don't feel right unless i'm shooting deer under 60lbs. [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Bobby, I knew someone would catch that [Smile] When i'm ground hunting a thicket or walking a beaver pond with other guys running dogs, i'll carry a contender handgun on my side but my shotgun is in my hand. Quick shots with a single shot is just too tough. But I have done it none the less.
Now give me a treestand next to a cut over or power line and it's contender all the way. I don't do much still hunting.

I have a Bushnell Elite 3x9x40 with fast focus on the 250imp. The scope was on 3 power when I took the fox. No problem at all seeing the critter in the crosshairs [Wink]
