Anyone know anything about the Ruger Hawkeye pistol or own one?

I have owned two of them and they are OUTSTANDING. very accurate (the two I had with iron sights). They bring a high dollar price now so if you have one guard it well.

You can also have Stan Wheeler rework an existing Ruger Blackhawk to Hawkeye configuration, which he does quite well.

He also does some of them with a Dan Wesson style barrel shroud and interchangeable barrels just like the Dan Wessons.

Last price I saw on Hawkeyes nearly 10 years ago was around $1250, so I can just imagine what the go for now.

Stan is not cheap, but is probably a better way to go than shooting a Hawkeye, plus you have the versatility of caliber with him you would not have with the Hawkeye.
