Anybody here tried the howitzer brake as offered by Mr. Brown? I dont know if I could get used to that big ol knot on the end of my barrel but Ive been jonezin for a 15" .35 something cal encore barrel since Jules bought that 358 [Frown] . If so how does it work and does it blow dust, crap and noise back toward you? [Confused] ???

Dave,
I haven't tried the howitzer brake so I can comment on it. But I have the TC factory brake on my 14" barrel and it works very well. All brakes are noisy. I always use hearing protection when shooting so it dosn't bother me.
The 358JDJ is one of the best rounds there is in a Contender and will take most any game on earth.
There are others but I like the JDJ. It was my first wildcat in a Contender.

Dave -
I recently got a hunting pistol from EABCO with the JP brake. It is a 45/70 gov't and the brake does work very well. With factory ammo, it kicks about like a 357 mag. As with any brake, it is loud. I have not noticed any spray of gun powder or residue.
