They offer a 2x 20mm ($160) and a 2.5x-8x 24mm ($250) at www.swfa.com . Prices are reasonable but what is the quality and durability like? Nikon offers a "Lifetime Warranty".....

Mike, I don't own a Nikon....yet, but from what i've been told they are brighter then any made. A little short on FOV but the same goes for the Bushnells and that never put me at a handicap.

Jules,
I have a Nikon 2X on a 10" 357 Max barrel. I bought it on the recommendation on a gun shop owner / handgun hunter about ten years ago. In a side by side comparison to a Leupold 2X I had at the time, the Nikon is brighter and has a larger FOV. I'm very pleased with it. I don't see the 2X listed on the Nikon web site, they've come out with a 2-8X variable. Greg

I passed on a Nikon 2x a few weeks ago on one of the auctions. I think it went for 100 bucks. You are correct on the 2x FOV. I was going by the specs on the 2.5x8.

Paul, I shot it with some 158 grain magnums that i shoot outta my 10" TC. I was able to get 2" groups at 100. Not bad!! I am sure that it would be much more accurate with Max brass. I am actually considering selling it as i have another project that i am interested in.
So many ideas so little money.....
