I just seen this on the Redding site...
Why would this not be a big help in the case sizing for T/C stuff??
Maybe someone here has tried it??

, Redding now offers shellholders that are in increments of .002” thicker than the industry standard. The nominal thickness for industry standard shellholders is .125”. (See dimension X on the shellholder diagram.) Our new Competition Shellholder Set includes five shellholders that are thicker than this in increments of .002”. Therefore, the set includes shellholders that are marked +.002, +.004, +.006, +.008 and +.010, which is the amount the shellholder will decrease case to chamber headspace.

Yes, those would be nice. You would be able to maintain your die setting but give the shoulder a little more bump if needed.... [Wink]

well the idea is to be able to NOT bump the shoulder? With these you could get the one that keeps you from OVER sizing the case.
That way their is no guessing once you get the proper holder.
I am going to try it in my 7-30

Fireball it goes both ways if MSSmagumn wants to bumb shoulders and you don't then start with the middle and go what ever way you want.

I was assuming the That we wanted to NOT bump the shoulder too far back on most T/C stuff. I would guess If you find the Shell holder it would make it easier to size the case. No more dies adjusting just use the proper shell holder for your barrel and make the die touch?

I sure was not Bashing Magnum

Fire ball I didn't think you were just pointing out it could go either way. I neck size a lot on my contender barrels and some don't. At some time I will have to bump the sholder and knowing when that is the trick for me. I use Wilson neck sizing dies which don't have expander ball and think it helps. I use Redding body dies when I FL size. Have a great weekend and we all need to go to the range and SHOOT [Wink]
