Well, guys, I guess I may be nuts, but today I picked up a used but very nice 14" SSK barrel (gloss black finish) in 6mm JDJ, so if I get any takers on the VVCG barrel, it will be going to a new home. If not, I will wring out this JDJ barrel and then choose between the 2 as to which to keep. I got the barrel, T'SOB base w/ 3 ring set-up, dies, app. 55 loaded rounds which I will pull and app. 145 pieces of new brass. He wanted $325. I offered $275. He countered & said make it $285 and it's yours. I may sell the T'SOB as this barrel really doesn't need it. I actually prefer a Weaver 92-A with Millett rings on the light kickers.

Bobby, I've got ONLY TWO things to say: 1. The handgun Gods are clearly on your side... 2. Make the best of it while it lasts!!! Congratulations!! Sounds like quite a deal! Let us all know how the gun shoots. Will be interested to see what kind of velocities you get w/ the 6 JDJ to compare w/ the 6 TCU and 6X50R Bellm. Gary T.

Gary- I am anxious to try this one out also. I've never had a 6 JDJ but had a .257 JDJ, am on my third 6.5 and had a .309 for a short time (did not like it). The 6.5 JDJ I picked up off the TC List a few weeks ago is "tuned" and has about 120 rounds of loaded ammo to hold me for a while. I settled on 34.5 grains Re-15 and the Nosler BT, the the same charge and the Speer 120 shoots equally well and to virtually the same point of aim. Both produce a little over 2400 fps. The 6.5 is the standard gloss blued finish, and the only available scope I had at that moment was a Burris 2-7 in brushed stainless (or whatever that finish is called). I was worried about how it would look, but it actually aint bad...
