Hey fellas...the picture is of a fireformed .25 Classic case, pre-fireformed Classic case, and a .30 Herrett. Hopefully I know how to post a pic on this board. If you have any questions, shoot me an e-mail or post a reply.

I like the looks of that cartridge. A lot.
I already load several wildcats based on the 30-30 (though I don't even own a 30-30). I do load for the 30 Herrett, the 357 Herrett, the 219 Zipper, the 219 Wasp, the 6mm Bullberry Imp., and the 219 Zipper IMP.; all of which I make from the 30-30. That one should be a nice addition to the "family". I like cartridges formed from that one, and also the 303 British.
If you get time, I would love to see your load data that you've developed for the 25 Classic. It would save me some work I'll bet. I spoke to Steve Stratton by email today and should have that 25 Classic carbine barrel on the way here by morning.
If you need any of the data I've worked up for the 30-30 based wildcats that I load for, just let me know.
T.D.

Dan-
Thanks for posting the photos and for the info you e-mailed me earlier today. The .25 Classic looks to be quite similar to the 7mm Bullberry -- so I might just have to get one. The 7mm BB has worked extremely well for me...

Buying formed .30 Herrett brass would save one step in the process. I use a .30 Herrett form/trim die to get the cases to length and shoulder pushed back. From there I simply run them into the .25 Classic FL die.

So far RL-7 and RL-10X are working rather well. I have a whole rack of loads ready to shoot but we got another 6" of snow. The end of the week looks promising so I'll get out then.

TD...I'll have to look up my data. This cartridge is still in the process of development so I'm using lots of various powders and bullets and don't want to quote a bad load. Dies can be purcahsed from the Woodchuck Den (Todd Kinlder). He also publishes Small Caliber News.

Kyode...I have maxed it out at 3180fps with 75gr Sierra HP's and RL-7. That was a HOT load that I would never recommend. It's comfortable at 3000fps with 75's though. When I'm done there will be a complete write up in Small Caliber News.

I'm glad you all like it. It's been fun working with.

I ordered the barrel and also ordered the dies from Todd Kindler. Todd is nice but MAN those are expensive dies.
Should be a fun one to work with.

The 256 Maximum/Super-Mag in a carbine length barrel would be nice. Dies would be cheaper. Several barrel makers list the chambering.
