Have you done anything with Unique yet in your OTT .41? You posted the 170 Sierra's did well at 25 yards - Any expansion results? I'm getting ready to move to the expansion testing portion of Sierra and Hornady soon. Is your barrel as temperamental about col(aol) as mine is?

T/C nimrod I shot the 170's with 21.0 grains of 2400 Fed 150 primers for 1586 Fps ave. I will load some more soon. Maybe tonight. To try out at further distances. I've done some expansion test with Hornady XTP's. Hmm If I remember correctly I may have done one test with the 170's out of a revolver at 1450 fps ave, expansion was good. I like the 210 Hornady's better than the Sierra 170's where expansion is concerned. I want to test the Sierra 210's & see what they do. I have used the Sierra 170 on chucks, expansion is nice! It rips em apart purty good! I never chrono'd the load out of either me ole S&W or the 10" Contender barrel. Think i will take it along chuck huntin as the "back up" gun tonite. LOL!

BTW, Gary Reeder recommends the Sierra 170 for LARGE game outta his wildcats. I have always wanted to try them on a larger animal but am half afraid of the outcome.....

Mike I told you what happened with me. A bunch of things went wrong when I used them in the past. So I'm not real confident with the 170's. I don't know if it was bullet failure or a combination of things, bullet & shooter & deer. So my past experiences have me a little skeptical about them. It doesn't mean that other people won't have better results than I did. Rich Jake
