Hi All,

Anyone with exposure to one of these wildcats care to share their experiences of velocities, performance, & case life? Are they comparable to the 6.5 JDJ or 6.5 x 50R Bellm?

Your feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Dave

Are both of these sone on the 30-30 brass? If so, I would think the Bellm case on the 444 would give you longer case life. On the other hand, 30-30 brass is very cheap to find. I don't have any of the above, but the 30-30 brass I have heard is thinner, and more likely to have case neck cracks. I think the bower (sp) line on wildcats is based on the 30-30 and has commented that case life is shorter with the 30-30 cases, but they are cheap and easy to find.

If I recall correctly they run about 100-200 behind the JDJ and probably close to another 100 behind the Bellm. I'm running the JDJ now in a carbine barrel and could not be happier with the results.

.225 winchester cases are on sale real cheap from www.grafs.com right now, although I couldn't find them on the web site a call to them confirmed that they still had them for <25 dollars per 100. Just a thought!
