I was looking at a 257JDJ and that deal fell thru(sold). I contacted Ed's T/C and he had my 2nd choice and it was a 6.5JDJ by SSK and it was sold(not known to him at the time). I had already sent my $$ when Ed told me it was sold. He has in stock a SSK 6.5JDJ #2 in a 14" SS barrel based off the 307 Win., (instead of the 6.5JDJ which is based off the 225 Win.). I told him I would take that instead. Anyone with experience with this cartridge?

I've never had the 6.5JDJ #2, but I have the 7mmJDJ #2. It's a real shooter! The 307 Winchester case is very strong, and will last a long time. It has more powder capacity. Talk about an all-purpose barrel! I think that worked out in your favor. You'll love it!
