I got my 6BR barrel back three weeks ago and I finally made it to the range on Friday. I only had one load for the gun and ten shots went .750 inches. Dave sent six targets back with the barrel and the worst group was .970 inches and the best was .552 inches. I also ordered and forend for it and it sure looks nice. English walnut target style.

Makes me wonder about the 6BR in a Encore...Although that is a good shooting barrel....that is the way MY Br shoots and it is a Custom shop TC barrel.....Guess I was just expecting to much from the round....in a bolt gun it will do much better.

I have a Burris 3X12 mounted on the 6BR. I'll bet it will shoot better with the right loads. I just opened the reloading manual and picked a powder I had and used the Hornady 87 gr HP bullet.

Forgot to mention that the barrel came back with a stamp on the lug; .270 neck. I measured a loaded Lapua round at .269.

I would assume after two or three firings and a trimming..that neck turning might be in order. I have found in my other barrels that H322 or V130 is usually the best powders for the 6BR.......Your results may vary?
