It's both Jules!!!

You need to follow a simple 12 step plan.......

Buy the next 12 barrels you want.....then......if that doesn't "fix" you........buy the next 12.....and the next 12...... [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Your weak you know you are. Why are you asking like you don't know the answer? [Wink] The thing about it is there are a lot worse things you could be weak about.

As a Matter of fact I must be weak as well since I have two barrels on order, & I've already decided what my next one will be. [Big Grin] [Cool] [Big Grin]

You know it is bad when the wife calls you out and you fail. I had the safe open trying to figure the next "scope shuffle" when the wife came through. I told her about another barrel I wanted to go ahead and buy when she counted up the ones I already have. That was not the problem, the problem came when she told me to recite off the barrels I already have. I forgot two of them. [Roll Eyes] Hard to explain why you HAVE to get another one at that point. Must have been the pressure. [Embarrassed] Can every one else name off every barrel you currently have in 30 seconds without peeking?? [Confused] Is it old age creeping up on me?? [Frown]

Mike,
That was a personal attack and you should let her know that. I have found to always try to weasel it around to an offensive position. Or if your in that situation again, quickly dart your eyes to the left without moving your head and say quickly "What has the dog got in it's mouth"? and at that moment of distraction....make your get away.

Works for me and if asked again, do the same with another animal referenced. [Big Grin]

Good luck,

Well, I know there's hope for you gentlemen yet. I have a customer who currently owns over 70 T/C frames and a couple hundred barrels. He just ordered 8 more. [Smile] That's an addiction. [Wink]

Whatever it is, there's no cure in sight. I have some barrels squirreled away for a "rainy day," which never seems to come. ANd yet I don't part with 'em. But here lately, I have gone to moderation: I have decided that for any 2 barrels I get, at least one of the "old" barrels must go.

I have a 7mm International Rimmed (an early Bellm) that I took my first hog with back in the late 80s on the famed Fennessey Ranch near the central TExas coastline. I haven't shot it in 10 years, and I never even replaced the dies which were lost in the '97 flood. But it's there -- along with a Super 14 .223 that crowds just about any load into 3/4 MOA. I haven't shot that one in at least 5 years. But some day......

After the crash of Western civilization, the "golden rule" will be revised (i.e., them what has the guns will have the gold) and firearms will be at a premium. The people with automatics will run out of ammo first, at which point they'll be potted like woodchucks. Those with other repeating-type weapons will run out next. In the end, the single shot (in a wide variety of calibers to make use of the remaining available ammunition) will reign supreme.

Ergo, the correct way to look at TC stuff is like a savings account/insurance policy for the apocolypse. Just a good thing to do, just in case. It's neither an addiction nor a weakness, it's just common sense.

I was going through the safe the other day looking for an SKS sight adjustment tool and came across a 10" 30-30 bbl that I vaugley remember buying, but hadn't shot yet. I remidied that situation, but it shot around 20" high at 50yds wtih the rear sight screwed all the way down. I emailed TC but haven't got a reply yet. Do they make taller front sight blades? Or should I just make one myself? I kind of wanted to keep this one open sighted. I have scopes on most everything else.

They make different front blades for different calibers you may have the wrong one on the barrel. if you go to www.foxridgeoutfitters.com that is T/C Custom shop look under custom shop then under contender pistol options & then sights & you'll find what you need.

One thing I neglected to mention in my earlier post on this thread: I THOUGHT I had a 7mm-.223 Ingram (basically a 7 TCU with a slightly different shoulder angle) stashed away and THOUGHT I had sold or traded the Bellm 7mm Int'l Rimmed a number of years ago. But the reverse was actualy true -- something I "discovered" while doing some gun room/safe cleaning recently. I guess that goes to show I have more toys than I have time to play with...
